Overcoming Shellfish Allergy Is Possible: Regenerative Medicine Case Study
Written by Dr. María de los Ángeles López
“I feel totally renewed.” This is how a 70-year-old male patient describes his experience, after completing his treatment at the Genome Unit. When he first arrived, he was looking for more than relief: he needed a transformation that would allow him to regain his quality of life.
His biggest concern was a severe shellfish allergy, so intense that he couldn’t even go near it without risking a severe reaction. With a history of high blood pressure (HBP) for years—medicated but not adequately controlled—and a general state of physical and emotional exhaustion, the patient also presented with:
• Dull skin
• Alopecia (reduction in hair quantity and quality)
• Chronic insomnia
• Difficulty concentrating
• Episodes of memory loss
• Anxiety and weight gain (17 pounds in just over two months)
The constant stress related to his work profoundly affected his emotional state, causing irritability, poor eating habits, and a general feeling of depression. However, it was the search for a definitive solution for his food allergy that led him to seek medical advice.
After a comprehensive evaluation in the unit, a personalized regenerative medicine protocol was established, combining stem cells and genetically engineered peptides, with the goal of improving his overall condition and, above all, directly addressing his severe allergy. The first two sessions, administered three months apart, offered visible and tangible results:
• Growth of new hair follicles
• Increased motor strength and vitality
• Improved emotional self-control and a sense of serenity
• A rejuvenated appearance, perceived even by those close to him
Subsequently, two additional sessions were conducted exclusively with peptides. The most significant change of the entire process was the complete remission of his severe shellfish allergy.
For the first time in years, the patient was able to expose himself to and consume up to three shrimp without experiencing any adverse reaction, marking a turning point in his quality of life.
At the end of his treatment, the patient reported feeling completely renewed:
• Continuous and restful sleep of more than 6 hours per night
• Restored memory and concentration
• Weight loss
• Control of blood pressure
• Stable and calm emotional state
• Fuller, healthier hair
This case not only represents a significant clinical improvement. Above all, it is a story of medical and human achievement, demonstrating how regenerative medicine can offer effective and lasting solutions to conditions that severely impact daily life, such as severe food allergies.
